FAQ

Questions teams ask before monitoring real experience.

A quick guide to what HeronSignal tracks, how it helps, and how AI and coding agents can use the evidence.

What is HeronSignal?

HeronSignal is an AI-assisted website monitoring platform that helps teams understand real visitor experience, frontend errors, health checks, alarms, and what to fix first.

Does HeronSignal track real users?

Yes. HeronSignal captures real user performance signals such as page load, Core Web Vitals, sessions, clicks, geography, browser, device, and page journeys.

Will the tracking snippet slow down my website?

No. The tag is a single lightweight (~16KB) script loaded with async, so it never blocks your page from rendering. Your content paints exactly as fast as it does today. Events are batched and sent in the background with sendBeacon, so nothing holds up clicks or navigation. And because HeronSignal measures real-user performance, you can see its own footprint in your dashboard from day one, test it on a staging page with Lighthouse before and after and the scores won't move.

Can HeronSignal detect frontend errors?

Yes. It can capture runtime JavaScript errors, unhandled promise rejections, failed resources, optional console logs, network failures, and custom app events.

Does HeronSignal include AI analysis?

Yes. HeronSignal uses AI to summarize telemetry, explain likely impact, and suggest practical next steps. Users can chat with the AI assistant in any language.

Can coding agents use HeronSignal data?

Yes. HeronSignal includes an MCP endpoint so coding agents like Cursor, Claude, and Codex can read workspace-scoped monitoring context: errors, performance, sessions, funnels, and health. Tokens are read-only by default; you can optionally enable narrow write scopes that let an agent create funnels or metrics and update issue triage status. No scope ever touches your code.

Can HeronSignal fix issues for me?

Yes. HeronAgent connects to your GitHub repository, reads the real production context behind an error, and opens a draft pull request with a proposed fix. Nothing is merged automatically: you review and merge. Usage is metered as HeronAgent credits included in every plan, and when your monthly credits run out you get a clear message instead of surprise charges.

Can HeronSignal AI update my code?

Only in one deliberate way: HeronAgent can open a draft pull request with a proposed fix, which you review and merge yourself. The dashboard AI and MCP tools never change code: they provide insights, evidence, and recommendations, and any code change goes through your normal review workflow.
